Car Audio...
Alright! You want to go on a drive and want to listen to some wonderful quality music. Don’t carry your home audio along. Simply install a good car audio system and you can enjoy wonderful music in the comfortable seat of your automobile. Did you know car audio came in the 1930s from the Galvin Manufacturing Corporation in the form of the Motorola model 5T71? Motorola -- “motor” for motion and “ola” for sound! I’ll throw some light on car audio history. At first, the audio systems from the home and professional markets were simply installed in vehicles. However, they were not well suited to the variable temperature and shocks of an automobile. Today, advances in acoustic technology mean that even a tiny speaker can produce loud enough sound for your pleasure. So now that I have you interested, let’s see companies that manufacture these sets. Fierce competition exists in the market. In fact car audio competitions started in the early 1980s in a quest to find the loudest and/or most outrageous installations. But I prefer the focus on sound quality. There are some major players few of which are: • Sony • Kenwood • Pioneer • Panasonic • Blaupunkt Car audio systems can cost anywhere from $100 to an upper limit…well how much cash do you have to spare? A good system though should cost anywhere between $400-$1000. You can ofcourse decide as per your budget. You can either install your customized car audio or settle for pre-installed company sets. I would go for custom being a music lover! What with all those subwoofers, amps, tweeters and more. I can get loud and clear sound! So go ahead enjoy your drive!
